Once upon a time…I started a blog at www.russianblessings.wordpress.com. This blog was the story of our journey to our son through the blessing of adoption from Russia. The blog also talked about our journey from infertility to adoption. After our son came home and we settled in as a family, we began the journey to our baby girl through the domestic adoption process. She was born at 27 weeks gestation but is thriving despite being a preemie. Now our son is 5 years old and our daughter is almost 2 years old. We are homeschooling our son in an eclectic style–mostly inspired by Waldorf teaching but grounded in our Christian faith.
My husband (Alan, known as “Papa” around here) works at the local classical radio station,Classical 90.5 WUOL ( www.wuol.org. ) and plays ukulele for fun.
For fun, I crash with a good book or watch “I Love Lucy.” I also have a photography blog at www.heatherbrandt.com/blog.
